History

The car was purchased new in 1959 and remained in the one family until acquired by Charles Hodsdon in September 2012

It is one of the last MK1 cars manufactured before the introduction of of the MK2 in 1960, and was sold with wire wheels, 4 wheel disc brakes and the tail light assembly as used in the MK2

The car remains in its original colour of BRG with cream wire wheels.

At the time of purchase, the car was in good condition for its age, with the speedometer at 74,000 genuine miles.

Restoration included mechanical (full engine rebuild and components deemed necessary for overhaul/replacement) completed by Mike Roddy- Jaguar specialist. 

Additional electrical and interior work was completed, as well as full body respray. Recently 4 new tyres have been fitted.
