The car was purchased new in 1959 and remained in the one family from purchase until I acquired it in September 2012. It was one of the last MK. 1 cars manufactured before the introduction of the MK. 2 Sedan in 1960 and was sold with wire spoke wheels, 4 wheel disc brakes and the taillight assemblies as used on the MK. 2. The car remains in its original paint colours of British Racing Green Body and cream wire spoke wheels.

At the time of purchase, the car was in very good condition for its age, with the speedometer at 74,000 Mls, which was genuine. Restoration included mechanical (full engine rebuild and components deemed necessary for overhaul/replacement) completed by Mike Roddy (Jaguar Specialist). Additional electrical and interior work was completed, as well as full body respray. Recently 4 new tyres have been fitted.
